Description

Aavaaram, Cassia auriculata, is an evergreen medicinal shrub with attractive bright yellow colour flowers. The use of plants as therapeutic agents in addition to food is age-long. It is a common plant in Asia, profoundly used in Siddha and Ayurvedic medicines as a tonic, astringent, and as a remedy for diabetes, conjunctivitis, and ophthalmic.

Aavaaram Thokku is prepared from freshly harvested clean yellow colour petals, enriched with traditional spices and cold-pressed edible oil in a hygiene environment as to take this age-old recipe to this modern society.
